School Programs 

At A&A Children’s Academy, we understand that children in our Pre-K 1 & Pre-K 2 program are learning language rapidly, strengthening social skills, and developing the concept of sharing and cooperation. They require lots of active play that integrates numerous sensory experiences in an environment where independence is encouraged, and expectations are made clear.
 

Our program promotes emotional growth by allowing children to explore and grow in a calm, supportive environment where they can make choices and learn from their experiences. Social growth is supported by establishing the foundations of respect by teaching the children to care for one another and to be sensitive towards each other’s feelings.
 

The classroom is set up with centers equipped with simple picture books, puzzles, manipulatives, blocks, art materials, dramatic play toys, and other developmentally appropriate materials for the children to explore daily. Throughout the day the children participate in both large and small group activities, which allows each child to learn at their own pace and developmental level.
 

Another big part of our Pre-K 1 & Pre-K 2 program is supporting independence and potty training readiness. We understand that each child is different and that this process can be stressful for the child and family. Potty training is a team effort that needs to be supported completely at home. During this time, it is important to stay positive and patient and to understand that rushing a child who is not ready is not helpful. The teacher will stay in constant communication with the parents, so the timing is right for each child.
